Wasted Wishes // Victoria Fashion Photography

I am so over the moon about this shoot. I met Alison last year & we both adored each others work and wanted collaborate on a shoot. 2013 rolled around and we finally got a chance to shoot. It was such a relaxed, go with the flow, windy and all, kind of shoot. Alison rocking out her wardrobe was kick ass the whole time. She is such a fun, energetic and creative girl. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shoot. PLUS I was really excited to play around in Photoshop with some new techniques I picked up while reading over some photography magazines I got for Christmas ( seriously, sometimes the littlest things you read will help with a unique way of editing your work). I would highly recommend going down to your local book store and picking up a few and trying it out.  I really hope to work again with Alison. Enjoy "Wasted Wishes".

Megan + John Married // Victoria Wedding

Im finally so happy that Im getting to share with you all what I have been up to for the past few weeks. Back in October Megan emailed me to see if I was available to take part in a very special and secret day of hers. Her fiancĂ©, John and her were secretly getting married! I went to high school with Megan a few years back in Penticton, and we have stayed in touch ever since. When she told me that they would be eloping in Vancouver and then coming over to Victoria for photos the same day, I felt extremely privileged to be apart of it all. December 16, 2012 was extremely cold, windy and cloudy day.. a typical West Coast kind of day. We decided to venture off in Beacon Hill Park and spent some time walking around, and braving the wind (yes, the wind was halowing). I LOVED my time shooting this amazing couple as it was my time blending an engagement shoot/wedding. It was very clear being around them that they were so in L O V E and oh so ECSTATIC that they just got MARRIED. Congrats Megan & John!

HAPPY NEW YEARS

My New Years I spent time with my family up at my Aunt & Uncle's ski cabin at Apex Mountain Resort (Penticton BC). Sure was filled with many many laughs. Hoping everyone had a memorable and safe New Years. Cheers to 2013. xx

Ryan, Nolan & Reid - Brothers // Penticton Portrait Photography

For my New Years Resolution, I really want to bring my camera with me as often as I can and snap the year away. Before New Years I got a chance to photograph my cousin’s boyfriend, Ryan and his two brothers. For the past few months my cousin, Leanne, and I wanted to set this up and finally worked out that we got all three of them together. Photographing these guys was a lot of fun. They defiantly were troopers by toughing it out and braving the cold/wind and snow that day. A little 30-minute portrait session turned into a hilarious mini photo shoot. Boys will be boys.  The photos turned out to be a fantastic way to end the year and to especially for their Mom, as a belated Christmas present.

Happy Holidays 2012 // Penticton Photography

Christmas just isn’t Christmas if its not spent in Penticton with my family. This past few weeks I was lucky enough to sneak away from the coast to visit and spend it with my family who live in the interior. This Christmas was a little different. It was the first holiday with out our two incredible grandparents, whom both passed away in 2012. They were remarkable, warmhearted, compassionate grandparents and I am incredibly blessed to have had them in my life as long as I did. Christmas was really relaxed and started of with a solid game of Monopoly, drinks, delicious dinner provided by my amazing aunt’s and then ended with a hilarious game of “Catch Phrase” – just buy it, you wont regret it. I wanted to end 2012 with having my camera with me as much as I can, so bringing it Christmas Day was a must. Im hoping everyone had an amazing holiday season with who every ever you may celebrate it with. HAPPY HOLIDAYS xx
